This study aims to analyse the implementation of smart board-based learning strategies in Christian Religious Education to enhance the effectiveness of learning and students’ engagement at SMKN 3 Palangka Raya. The background to this study is the low level of student engagement in conventional learning processes, which tend to be one-way and lack interactivity. The use of smart board technology is expected to create a more visual, interactive and contextual learning experience. A qualitative research method was employed. The results indicate that the implementation of smart board technology significantly enhances the effectiveness of Christian Religious Education. This is evidenced by an improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group. Furthermore, the use of smart boards also increased students’ engagement, as demonstrated by greater active participation, attention, and motivation during the learning process. These findings indicate that the integration of interactive learning technology plays a vital role in improving the quality of learning in vocational secondary schools. This study recommends the use of smart boards as an innovative and effective teaching strategy in Christian Religious Education, and encourages teachers to develop technology-based teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
